Christina Cripe is standing next to a pair of beautiful botanical prints. Her husband purchased them for her from the Antiques Show, before the separate Antiques and Modernism shows merged, likely about 2007. Christina says “He bought them for me after I admired them, as we had wandered through the show, which happened to fall on the weekend of my birthday. I love them because I think they are so graceful and elegant, and they were one of the first things I hung in our current home when we moved in 2 years ago.”
Connie Yonan bought these from dealer Trace Mayer. She says “I love them! They are next to my mirror in the front and look fabulous. Every year I buy one or two more!! I get tons of compliments!!”
Here are some of Natalie’s favorite A+M purchases from over the years. A 1980's Celine silk blouse, a Ciner bangle from the 1980s, a lucite “H” necklace, and a snake bangle. All of the jewelry is from her favorite NYC dealer, Deluxe Twentieth Century.
Raheela’s stunning dress is from dealer Norine Claffey. It is vintage silk taffeta. Raheela says, “Makes me feel like a princess. So many compliments. The silk bows in back are particularly lovely. Inimitable.”
Shannon VanTassel discovered these refined hand drawn birds prints by naturalist George Edwards (1755) at the 2016 A + M Show, from the dealer Fine Antique Prints. Shannon says “We had just renovated our master bedroom and I was looking for the perfect art to hang above our bed. These prints jumped out at me with their vivid colors and beautiful custom framing.”
