Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Kicks Off its 2017 Show at MAZE Home

Community Gathers to Celebrate the Launch of This Year’s A+M

WINNETKA, Ill. – Earlier this month, The Woman’s Board of the Winnetka Community House partnered with MAZE Home to kick-off the 2017 Antiques + Modernism Show [A+M]. Guests including Woman’s Board committee members, local residents, and MAZE Home customers enjoyed a variety of light bites and libations, while celebrating the launch of A+M and viewing MAZE Home’s beautiful collection of home décor and gifts.

“We were delighted to officially announce the launch of A+M 2017 at MAZE Home,”  said Paige Canepari, a member of the Winnetka Community House’s Woman’s Board and co-chair of the A+M kick-off party, along with Erin Kelly. “It was the perfect place to gather and build excitement for this year’s Antiques + Modernism event.”

The owner of Winnetka’s MAZE Home, Cindy Bardes Galvin, welcomed guests to the kick-off party and guided attendees through the store. Cindy is an interior designer, who also owns Bardes Interiors.  Her collections range from lamps and tables to unique, high-end pieces from Paris and across the globe, and she generously donated 10% of all sales that day to the Winnetka Community House.

Antiques + Modernism Winnetka is a fusion of the former Winnetka Antiques Show and the Modernism Show. Since the combined show’s inception in 2009, esteemed dealers from across the country flock to Winnetka to showcase fine examples of American, European, and Asian antiques, as well as pieces from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century design movements. Offering a wide variety of furniture, jewelry, garden antiques, rugs, fine art and more, A+M offers something for everyone’s taste and budget. This year’s A+M show will take place from Thursday, November 2nd through Sunday, November 5th, 2017.

All proceeds from Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Show support the programs and services of the Winnetka Community House, a non-tax supported organization.  The Winnetka Community House was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in August 2007. The Woman’s Board’s mission is to provide financial and volunteer support for this important community institution. For more information visit thewinnetkashow.com or call (847) 446-0537.
